These terms govern your use of YDine, a digital menu and ordering platform for restaurants. By creating a YDine account you agree to them. If you're signing up on behalf of a restaurant business, you're confirming you have the authority to do so on that business's behalf.
YDine is currently in early development (beta). Several features described in our product roadmap — online payments, customer accounts, notifications, and others — are not live yet. Where a term below refers to a feature that isn't live, it describes how that feature will work once it is, not a claim that it's available today.
YDine provides software that lets a restaurant create a digital menu, generate QR codes for tables, and (once live) receive and manage orders. YDine is a technology platform — we are not a party to the sale of food, we don't prepare or deliver it, and we're not responsible for a restaurant's menu content, pricing, food safety, allergen information, or order fulfilment. That responsibility sits with the restaurant.
YDine operates on a subscription basis, with plans configured by YDine (currently Starter, Business, and Pro — the exact pricing, features, and trial length for each are shown at signup and may be updated from time to time). Once billing is live:
Online payments to a restaurant from its customers are processed through our payment provider (Stripe) once that feature is live; those payments are separate from your YDine subscription billing.
You agree not to use YDine to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly where it protects the security or integrity of the platform or other restaurants' data.
Menu items, prices, descriptions, images, allergen labels, and opening hours are entered and controlled by each restaurant. YDine does not verify this content for accuracy. Restaurants are solely responsible for complying with applicable food safety, allergen-labelling, pricing, and consumer-protection law in their jurisdiction.
Once ordering is live: an order placed through a restaurant's YDine menu is a transaction between the customer and that restaurant. YDine facilitates the transaction (transmitting the order, processing payment where enabled) but is not the seller of record for the food or drink ordered. Order fulfilment, refunds for food issues, and customer service for a specific order are the restaurant's responsibility.
YDine and its software, design, and branding are owned by us. Content you upload (your restaurant's name, logo, menu, images) remains yours — by uploading it, you grant us a licence to display and process it solely to provide the service to you and, where applicable, to your customers.
We aim to keep YDine available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted service — maintenance, updates, or issues outside our control may cause downtime. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops; we'll try to give reasonable notice for changes that materially affect existing functionality you rely on.
YDine is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including lost profits or lost orders) arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You may close your restaurant's account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for a material breach of these terms, non-payment of subscription fees once billing is live, or where necessary to protect the platform or other users. Where reasonably possible, we'll give notice and a chance to resolve the issue first.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms as the platform develops, particularly as billing and ordering features go live. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continued use of YDine after a change means you accept the revised terms.
